He's Here - Finally!

Spencer Aaron Gardner
February 12, 2009
8:20 am
8 lbs 7 oz
21 inches long

Well, after much anticipation, little Spencer decided to join the family. He is an absolute joy! We all love him so much. He has a wonderful aura about him - so peaceful. The labor went well - just as Heather had desired. The induction began at 11 pm, water was broken around 5:30 "ish," epidural placed around 6 am and Heather pushed him out with 5 very determined pushes at 8:20 am.

Here are a bunch of pictures for your enjoyment because we are sure enjoying him.

We are so incredibly grateful to the good Lord for blessing us with another healthy baby. I guess all of your (especially Heather's!) prayers paid off. We'll take good care of him! More posts to come - this one full of pictures is dedicated to Grandpa Bagley - here are as many pictures as I could post!

He is truly a Gardner. He is adorable like the rest of your clan. I'm so happy he's got the Michigan beanie on, too cute! I really wish I would have been able to come back and help next week, but Mom will be there and you'll like that more... I'll see if I can come out soon. Miss you and Congratulations!!!

Heather and Joel: Great job. Beautiful little boy. We are so happy everything turned out OK. Spencer is a very nice name. I was voting for Logan, but we will take him anyway. Elaine will be back on the 18th-22nd to help where she can. God must love you---four healthy children! A great blessing. Love Ya, Mom and Dad

Congrats Gardner family! He is adorable! Very lovely indeed! Glad you are all doing well and enjoy the transiton from 3 to 4! Some say it is cake, some say it isn't anything resembling dessert. For us it has been a little challenging, but I chalk that up to being a doctor's family in the middle of residency. It'll probably go a lot smoother for you guys since you're on your way to a real job. Whoot! Whoot! Congrats again!
